He’s On The Transplant List…

Dylan is now officially a transplant patient at Yale New Haven Hospital. Earlier this week he met with the Transplant department’s Nephrologist, Surgeon, Nurse Coordinator, Social Worker, Dietician and Pharmacist. They are all familiar with Dylan’s disease and his health history as his case is discussed on a regular basis in their weekly meetings.

The waitlist for a deceased donor is 5-8 years and Dylan’s best bet is to find a living donor. As a donor, you will also have access to Yale’s support team. You must have your own insurance; however, Dylan’s insurance will cover the cost of the evaluation and surgery.
