Paired Donor Program
A program to match incompatible Donors with Recipients.
You’ve decided to donate one of your kidneys to a recipient in need. However, when tested you find out that you are not a match. All is not lost. Yale New Haven Transplant Center participates in the “Paired Donor Program” (PDP). This program is known by many names such as, Kidney Paired Donation and Paired Kidney Exchange.
Yale will put your incompatible donor into a database that works to match two or more donors with recipients. You’re able to fulfill your charity by participating in PDP. Your friend or family member gets a much needed kidney, and your donation helps to save another life.
